Time-course analysis of CTB binding and uptake

Distinguish peripheral and intracellular CTB signals over time; one endpoint cannot establish a trafficking route.

Dashed line: noncovalent target recognition. Shapes are schematic. AF marker: generic dye symbol.

Comparable time points

State the start of the observation interval and retain acquisition times and display ranges. Data using different time origins should not be pooled into a single time course.

Evidence for localization

Describe peripheral and intracellular signals separately. When signal overlaps an organelle marker, exclude spillover and saturated pixels; spatial overlap alone does not establish a transport mechanism.
